Hear what players are saying about Shabat Guitars
We’re incredibly grateful for the kind thoughts and words shared with us about the experiences players have had with our guitars. We truly appreciate the relationships we’ve made with all of you. We look forward to working with new and returning artists—and we hope you become one soon!
I just got my Shabat Lynx and could not put it down. The instrument is PERFECT. I should have listened to Sean Hurwitz years ago when he told me about Shabat! Thanks to everybody involved, from the bottom of my heart.
Love your guitars. Kind of got hooked on them, and Joshua at Guitars To Be Played is great to work with. I was able to pick up three from him, and got one more Lion on order. Fantastic instruments that I will build memories with and cherish.
Well gents.. You did it AGAIN! Another great build with absolutely no complaints. I could not put my Shabat Lion down. The neck is so comfortable, fret job is prefect, the body is light and resonates, and the paint/aging is spot on.
I SO appreciate everything you do. You can feel the love in the guitars…well, at least I do!
Hi Avi,
I received the guitar a few days ago and have made myself familiar with it during the weekend. It is a stellar instrument! I expected a great guitar, but I’m nevertheless pleasantly surprised by how it sounds and plays. It sounds absolutely beautiful and plays effortlessly – the setup is perfect! The killer looks don’t hurt either. Thank you for building such a wonderful guitar for me!
Cheers,
Purchased a Lion Special short scale with the wrap tail bridge from Guitars to be Played 12/21/24 after seeing Tim Pierce playing his Shabat on a recent lesson.
OMG! The guitar is perfect for me in every way…Incredible tone and workmanship.
Thank You for your dedication to building guitars to be played and heard!
Enough typing, back to my Shabat!
I bought a Lion Standard 2023 NAMM collection in Sherwood Greet over white.. love this guitar and have been gigging with it for a couple months now … the weight, playability and looks are A+
I bought a lion special via angel city guitars on a whim after watching Tim Pierce rave over a custom one he had built. After 2 months of playing, I can honestly say this is the finest guitar I’ve ever played or owned. And boy howdy, I’ve been through them all ….vintage and boutique alike.
And it isn’t to say the others suck, they are great too. But there’s something really cool going on with this guitar. Maybe it’s the shoes. Yeah, its gotta be the shoes!
Recently purchased the Lynx DZ (huge fan of Dweezil Zappa), shipped from Andertons UK all the way to Australia, so she’s already very well travelled. The build quality and attention to detail is elite, from the neck carve to the fretwork to the way it resonates unplugged. The Lollar Special S / El Rayo combination is absolutely magical: articulate and open-sounding, yet capable of serious punch and authority when pushed. It’s inspiring in a way very few guitars are.
This guitar has genuinely reset my benchmark for what a boutique instrument should feel and sound like. It disappears into your hands, does exactly what you ask of it, and makes you want to keep playing. I just cant put it down. Absolutely stunning world-class work from Avi and the team at Shabat guitars, I’m literally blown away. I’m already saving for my next Shabat.
